If there weren't copyright, virtually every person
would have access to the entirety of human culture.
(at least in industrialized areas.)

without copyright laws the motivation to create culture would largely dissapear and there would be no substantial culture to access

Culture existed just fine before copyright law. The sort of culture that would be eliminated would be the works motivated by wealth. Musicians would still make music, writers would still write, and artists would keep doing what they enjoy doing. The only difference would be in their motivations. Yes, there would be fewer creations, but the creations that remained would be true works of art.
