The burden of _caring_ for drug addicts is one that is voluntarily assumed. If they want medical / psychiatric help, let them pay their own bills like the rest of us. The burden of _dealing_ with addicts is probably smaller if drugs are legalized. ( If drugs are legalized, prices drop and junkies have to break into fewer cars to support their habit )
