by anonymous on 2005-03-14 19:25:27My child's day-care has a missionary that teaches pre-school. It is religious-based and includes bible study and songs. However, she also teaches science and does not teach that everything sprung up overnight; but that Genesis lasted seven of God's days not ours. Interesting. -

by anonymous on 2005-04-20 02:31:13A missionary teaching science is all well and good, but mixing scientific information/rationalization with religious texts/interpretations is a disservice to both. Religion and science satisfy two distinctly different goals. Saying that the earth was created in "seven god days" is 100% religious and in no way reconciles religion with science (it is not a verifiable or falsifiable statement, has no predictive use, etc.).
